Role Overview

This role is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting while working towards a professional qualification. You will be involved in a variety of financial tasks, supporting senior accountants and gaining valuable exposure to real-world business finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts and management reports
  • Supporting tax calculations, VAT returns, and payroll processes
  • Conducting financial reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
  • Communicating with clients and gathering necessary financial information
  • Assisting in financial audits and compliance reviews
  • Helping to analyse financial data and prepare reports for clients
  • Keeping up to date with industry regulations and accounting standards

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related subject (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
  • A commitment to pursuing a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
