We are working with a leading top 100 law firm looking for a Conflicts Assistant to join a dynamic Business Acceptance Unit (BAU) team. With a proven track record of internal promotion and a commitment to employee development, this organization is dedicated to investing in its people.The RoleAs a Conflicts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing conflicts searches, analyzing results, and delivering concise, actionable reports to key stakeholders. You will be instrumental in safeguarding confidential and price-sensitive information while providing guidance on conflicts-related issues.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting legal and commercial analysis of potential conflicts and confidentiality issues, escalating key findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Processing and filtering conflict search results and supporting referrals to senior decision-makers as needed.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and partners to implement information barriers and maintain Insider Lists.
  • Handling general client and matter inception queries, maintaining engagement letters, and responding to compliance-related requests.
  • Participating in project work to enhance workflows, systems, and controls.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong skills in processing and interpreting complex information.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Code of Conduct 2019, particularly around conflicts and confidentiality, and awareness of Market Abuse Regulations (MAR).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and delivering clear, practical advice.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Initiative and Proactivity: Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize effectively, and provide solutions to complex issues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office tools, and familiarity with Intapp software is advantageous.
