UNIVERSITY CENTRE - APPRENTICESHIP ASSESSOR & COMPLIANCE COACH

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £34,226 - £36,224 per annum

Our rapidly expanding University Centre for Architecture, Engineering and Construction (UC-AEC) provides a range of Level 3, 4 and 6 Apprenticeships.

We are looking for qualified construction professionals to join our UC-AEC Faculty and share their knowledge and skills with young people and adults.

We are specifically - but not exclusively - looking for expertise in:

Building Services Engineering

Construction - Site Supervision / Architecture / Quantity Surveying

- Civil Engineering

- Transport Planning

The Apprenticeship Assessor & Compliance Coach (AACC) role involves meeting with Apprentices via TEAMs and supporting them to build a digital portfolio of evidence, mapped against certain knowledge, skills and behaviours. In a typical day, you will:

• Meet with the Apprentice to discuss work undertaken, and identify evidence to collect

• Review evidence uploaded to ensure competency & quality

• Undertake Apprentice Reviews with both Employer and Apprentice, to feedback progress, highlight skills gaps and ensure timely completion of the Apprenticeship.

• Help prepare the Apprentice for their End Point Assessment

You should have a relevant Level 3 (or above) qualification and recent industry experience. Previous assessing experience is not essential but the ability to demonstrate skills and understand the needs of learners in an educational environment is required.

Possession of, or willingness to work towards an assessing qualification and a Level 2 Literacy/Numeracy qualification i.e. GCSE (4-9 or equivalent) in English and Maths is essential.
