Overview of this position and future progression -
This role, focused in the Leeds area, will begin with you operating as a service engineer, at first replacing your employer's products. As you progress, you'll receive specialist certified training to become a maintenance, repair, and overhaul specialist. You will work alongside customer engineering teams to minimise downtime for machinery and ensure smooth operations.
Graduate Assembly Engineer responsibilities include -
- Buddy up with an experienced service engineer and travel to clients.
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance on a range of electric vehicles.
- Diagnose, repair, and manage air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating/cooling systems.
- Carry out daily customer visits, providing high-quality maintenance and technical support.
- Utilise a handheld PDA system for logging work, tracking tasks, and team communication.
- A relevant qualification in Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (e.g., NVQ, BTEC, HNC, or degree).
- Basic hands-on experience with mechanical assembly (study, home projects, or work based).
- Ability to follow technical drawings, instructions, and assembly procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Full UK driving Full UK driving license (max 6 points).
