Maternity Cover Needed: Bookkeeper / Management Accountant
Are you an enthusiastic accounting professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity? Our client is seeking a skilled individual to fill in for a period of maternity leave from the end of October 2024 and for up to 12 months.
The selected candidate will have the chance to work 4-5 hours daily, ideally from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, over a period of 5 days a week, providing flexibility with these hours. It is also possible the role could be done over three full days.
You would be providing vital support to the Finance Director and the team in the monthly management account's preparation and the annual statutory accounts.
Your responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- Undertaking monthly balance sheet reconciliations, particularly relating to Work in Progress and Stock
- Assisting in the process of raising sales invoices
- Engaging in the analysis of sales and customer rebates
- Studying key items of manufacturing and distribution expenditure versus budget and prior periods
- Ensuring clear comprehension of expenditure by the operational teams and helping to identify potential savings
- Providing holiday cover for Credit Control
