Based: North East & YorkshireRemuneration: £45,000-£50,000 Neg. + 15% Bonus per quarter!
Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating will involve:
- Field sales position, selling our clients distributed range (75%) and own brand range (25% of plumbing and heating supplies to plumbers merchants , builders merchants, hardware stores and buying groups
- 80% account management, 20% new business development position
- Responsible for circa top 200 live accounts (typically ranging from £5,000-£100,000 turnover)
- Revenue responsibility circa £2m-£2.5m
- Circa 18-20 customer appointments per week
- Attending trade mornings
- Offering recommendations for new products lines and managing the area through rigorous business planning
- Identifying purchase decision makers and arrange and attend sales visits
- Building relationships with both existing and prospective clients
- Huge prospect database
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating with:
- A proven field sales track record in the plumbing & heating industry
- Either successfully selling to plumbers merchants or may consider someone working for a plumbers merchant in a field sales capacity
- Account management/ relationship building skills
- Entrepreneurial attitude
- Comfortable with IT systems and CRM reporting
- Friendly, assertive, independent, quick paced and able to work on own initiative
- Persuasive with ability to sell concepts and ideas by gaining commitment and willing acceptance
- An outlook which will thrive in a challenging environment, and have the freedom to act and the authority to take decisions
