Are you a natural sales person working within the Recruitment sector, supplying temp recruitment solutions to your clients? This opportunity is for a proven Business Development Manager to bring in the vacancies to a hub office in the Leeds/Bradford area, where a team is ready and waiting to fill each and every role. You will work together to ensure a first class experience for the customer and enjoy flexibility and autonomy is terms of how you win the business.

Job Purpose:

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth and success within the business. This position, supported by senior operations and the central sales team, is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to the overall expansion of the company's presence in the recruitment marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the temporary workforce solutions sector through various methods including: referrals, networking, cold calling, account development and lead generation.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans for your designated region / industry sector to achieve revenue targets through excellent customer service, support and negotiation.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions by adopting a consultative approach.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure realistic expectation management and effective delivery of staffing solutions to clients.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients (face-to-face and by other communications methods) to understand likelihood of sales conversion, better understand areas the business can support and aid prioritisation of time commitment to each prospect.

Market Analysis and Lead Generation:

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business expansion.
  • Utilise insights to adapt and refine business development strategies.
  • Create a pipeline for continued sales activity and effective business development strategy ensuring there is always opportunity to generate business growth.

Proposal Development:

  • Prepare and present compelling proposals to potential clients, outlining the company's solutions and value proposition.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts to secure profitable business agreements.

Revenue Generation:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the financial success to date.
  • Implement pricing strategies that align with market demands and maximise profitability whilst maintaining excellent service delivery.

The Aim/The numbers....

  • To contact approx 100 companies per month
  • 60 prospecting calls per week, recorded accordingly
  • 10 new SME customers per month
  • 1 qualified lead sent to New Business Team each week (temp and or perm)

Data and Administration

  • Ensure that all sales data and records are captured to enhance future business development insight, track leads/enquiries and quotations, taking particular care to follow strict GDPR guidelines and remain compliant throughout.

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record of success in business development, ideally within the recruitment or staffing industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyse market trends and identify business opportunities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative and consultative approach both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Organised and methodical in approach

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role within the recruitment industry where you are responsible for meeting sales targets is essential.
  • Experience and an understanding of the recruitment marketplace is highly desirable though not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience of securing business with both large and small accounts is highly desirable.
  • Evidence of achieving and exceeding sales targets on both a monthly and annual basis is essential.
  • This is a remote role with frequent travel to client sites, therefor a current driving license is essential.

Qualifications:

  • There are no specific qualifications needed for this role, however any formal sales training and qualifications would be advantageous.

Salary is £35k - 40k DOE plus bonus and benefits.
