Frozen potatoes are a convenient and versatile kitchen staple, offering the same versatility as fresh potatoes with the added benefit of long shelf life and quick preparation and can be easily transformed into a variety of delicious dishes with minimal effort. They reduce labour costs and food waste, providing restaurants with a reliable, ready-to-cook option that meets the demands of fast-paced, high-volume environments.

About the Role:Working as a KAM and managing end user accounts within the Fast Food/Takeaway, QSR and Wholesale channels in the North of the UK (including Scotland initially), you will be required to build, nurture and maintain strong and effective customer relationships as well as developing new business both within current and new accounts.

Duties Will Include:

  • Accountability for profit and loss for your specific business portfolio
  • Working closely with product management, Marketing and NPD teams delivering compelling customer specific propositions on product development
  • Creating efficient working relationships with key contacts within each account across the channel, e.g., Chefs, F&B Managers, Owners etc
  • Developing strong relationships with all key accounts within the Fast Food and QSR chains, fully understanding their business and offering solutions
  • Cross-selling and up-selling to existing accounts

Key Skills/Experience Required:In order to be considered for the role of Key Account Manager, you must possess the following;

  • Experience of working for a foodservice /catering company or food manufacturer in a field sales capacity
  • Knowledge and experience of selling into the Fast Food/Takeaway & QSR channels would be ideal, although other channels will be considered
  • Forward - thinking and innovative with a desire to keep up to date with the newest industry trends and the ability to bring new ideas to customers and Line Manager in order to remain a market leader
  • Experience of working closely with internal and external teams (e.g. marketing NPD, production etc)
  • A creative mindset in order to drive new product ideas and customer acquisitions
  • Strong and persuasive negotiation skills
  • Happy to successfully develop and generate new business
  • Ambitious and professional
  • A persistent, consistent and disciplined approach
  • A passion for food and experience if working with or as a Chef would be an advantage
  • Live in or around Machester/Leeds/Liverpool, Newcastle etc

Salary/Benefits Information:

  • In return for your role as Foodservice National Key Account Manager, you will receive a basic salary of up to £50,000 p.a (DOE) possibly negotiable. Car, bonus, 24 days holiday, pension etc.
