The Project
As a highly experienced Mechanical Project Manager, you will play a key role leading the mechanical packages on projects across a wide range of sectors including sports and leisure, hospitality, commercial and industrial projects. You will be responsible for the mechanical aspects of construction projects, ensuring the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire safety systems, and other mechanical infrastructure meet both the project's technical specifications and relevant safety standards.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
- SMSTS
- Valid CSCS / JIB Card
- First Aid - Desirable but not essential

Duties
- Ensure site health and safety
- Provide expert mechanical knowledge
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of the project
- Identify possible risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them
- Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor project costs, ensuring they remain in the allocated budget
- Identify and resolve any challenges that could delay project completion
- Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to the established timeline
- Uphold consistent and efficient communication with all project contractors
- Provide guidance and support to ensure team members meet their responsibilities
- Oversee the development and review of mechanical system designs and drawings
- Supervise daily project activities and ensure all tasks are advancing according to plan
- Determine and assign essential resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
- Collaborate with procurement to guarantee the on-time delivery of materials and equipment
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the work meets required standards
- Perform routine inspections and audits to verify adherence to industry standards and regulations
- Guide and inspire project teams, ensuring clarity on roles and responsibilities for all team members
- Allocate resources effectively to avoid delays and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, key milestones, and resource distribution
- Offer consistent project updates and progress reports to clients, management, and other relevant parties
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing updates
- Guarantee accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of the project
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables fulfill the defined specifications
