Contracts Engineer in Leeds

About the Role:
A leading company in the civil engineering industry, specialising in bridge and infrastructure maintenance, is looking for an experienced Contracts Engineer to manage a range of bridge maintenance and repair projects across the UK. If you have a strong background in budgeting, scheduling, client disputes, compliance, and contract management on bridge works - including concrete repair, structural painting, steel structures, and more - this is an excellent opportunity.
Role Overview:
As a Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the contractual, financial, and operational aspects of bridge maintenance and repair projects. This involves overseeing project budgets and schedules, handling client disputes, ensuring compliance with regulations, reporting, and managing contract reviews. You will also monitor project progress, manage change requests, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
路Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
路Review contracts, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
路Coordinate with clients and subcontractors to resolve disputes and issues.
路Monitor and manage change requests, documenting adjustments as required.
路Ensure health and safety compliance on-site (SMSTS qualification required).
路Provide regular project reports to senior management, highlighting risks and delays.
路Oversee quality control to maintain high standards of work.
路Manage a range of bridge-related activities, including concrete repairs, structural painting, steel work, coating, jacking, scaffolding, structure renovations, and grit blasting.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
路Valid CSCS Card
路Proven experience in bridge maintenance or similar sectors.
路Knowledge of bridge maintenance processes
Project Locations & Timeline:
路Initially in Leeds, the projects across the Midlands, North-East, and North-West regions
