Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sub Agent to join our team. In this role, you will manage small-scale civil engineering and construction projects or assist in the delivery of larger schemes, ensuring projects are completed to high standards while maintaining health and safety, quality, environmental, and cost controls.
Key Responsibilities: Site Management-
Ensure the successful delivery of projects, maintaining commercial performance.

Develop and oversee project programmes, ensuring timely and efficient completion.

Interpret drawings and specifications, providing engineering expertise to the team.

Ensure all staff, subcontractors, and visitors meet competency requirements and hold relevant qualifications.

Act as an ambassador, representing the company to clients, the public, and regulatory bodies.

Deliver high-quality project outcomes to customer satisfaction.

Produce accurate monthly reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
-
Chair weekly site meetings in line with company procedures.
-
Gather and ensure accuracy of all ‘as built’ documentation.

Comply with legal and company HSEQ procedures, promoting best practices.
-
Foster a safe working culture, ensuring environmental compliance.
-
Manage site safety and liaise with third parties and regulatory bodies.
-
Conduct regular inspections and audits, ensuring documentation is up to date.

Maintain QA documentation and ensure work is delivered snag/defect-free and on time.

Manage project cost plans, maximising value and driving efficiencies.

Maintain accurate records of costs, forecasts, and resources.

Ensure site diaries and records are completed diligently.

Address resource issues proactively, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Significant experience in Civil Engineering.

Strong knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management, and cost control.

Good understanding of civil engineering specifications and testing regimes.
-
Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
-
Valid CSCS and SMSTS cards.
-
Full UK driving licence.
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to challenges.

Working towards CEng, IEng AMICE, or equivalent.

Experience in water sector projects.

Temporary Works Co-ordinator qualification.
-
Leadership experience.
-
Service avoidance training.
-
Confined space training.
-
CPCS Appointed Person card.
-
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
