Business Development Executive / Outbound Sales Executive

£28,000 plus commission (£33K OTE)

Are you a confident, outgoing Sales Executive looking to join a busy, high-performing team with great training and career prospects? Do you enjoy getting to know your customers, acting as a subject matter expert and working to set targets? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Our client, a long-standing manufacturing company based in Leeds (Yeadon/Guiseley area), is currently looking to expand their established team due to a high volume of enquiries with a focus on contacting pre-identified leads to introduce the company brand and set appointments for the field sales team.

As such, they’re looking for great relationship builders with a well-honed questioning technique who can strike up a conversation, promote features and benefits, and close the call to meet structured KPIs.

Key duties of the role will include:

  • Using CRM to map out target prospects and make initial outbound calls to introduce company products and services
  • Asking questions and seeking out information to fully understand customer position before explaining benefits of solutions
  • Working to achieve appointment setting targets based on quantity and quality to book online and in-person meetings for sales team
  • Managing pipeline, call backs and communications effectively to build and nurture relationships
  • Updating and maintaining the CRM database with accurate records and interactions
  • Supporting the sales and marketing teams with campaigns and customer insights

Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • Min. 12 months’ experience in a similar telephone-based sales role
  • Experience in and desire to work to targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert communicator with strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Tenacity and resilience, ability to manage own activities effectively
  • Professional and a good team player

In return, the company offers a basic salary of £28,000 plus commission, with a realistic first year OTE of £33,000 (although this is uncapped). Further details on KPI targets and bonus payments will be discussed prior to interview.
