Commercial Manager | 3-6 Month Contract | Leeds/York | Outside IR35
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a Rail Transport Provider based in Yorkshire. This is a very exciting time to join the business, as they look to merge critical functions to create a large and dynamic portfolio.
They are looking for someone with experienced in providing commercial advice, reviewing funding agreements and assessing key deliverables and their impacts within projects. This person will kick off the role by carrying out a detailed review to produce a summary report and drive through key actions.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring best commercial practices and assessing potential contract risks
- Work closely with project commercial advisors and administrators to develop a holistic commercial overview of the portfolio
- Support an incumbent Senior Contracts Manager
- Working through a backlog of some of the groundwork within the commercial team
Experience
- JCT experience essential, with construction/transportation background also required
- Great communicator and skilled negotiator
- Previous experience in a similar commercial management role, around 5-10 years
- Strong stakeholder management skills
Logistics
- 6 month contract, with possibility of extension
- £400 - £500/day Outside IR35
- 2 days a week in the office, 3 at home hybrid
