A role has arisen for a Regional Employee Relations Manager to join a great company on a 12 month fixed term contract.

You will be responsible for end to end case management of disciplinary and grievance investigations, meetings and appeals consisting of conducting witness interviews, collating findings and producing reports and outcome letters. Supporting chairs and employees through these procedures.

This is a Hybrid role working on site and also from home (the first 3 months during probation will be worked from the office full time, you will then move on to hybrid working from month 4).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the end to end management of disciplinary and grievance investigation processes, consisting of: conducting witness interviews, collating investigation findings and producing investigation reports. Supporting disciplinary chairs and employees through investigation and disciplinary procedures on matters relating to (but not limited to):
  • General conduct matters (e.g. timekeeping, behaviour etc.)
  • Data loss/theft
  • Formal performance management and capability matters
  • Driving informal resolution in relation to grievance activities to mitigate formal action
  • Offer employee relations advice on health/wellbeing policies and practices in order to resolve cases
  • Case handling health and wellbeing cases, including the management of occupational health referrals
  • Build relationships with managers and colleagues to promote good employee relations across the organisation
  • Create, revise and implement policies and procedures
  • manage a substantial volume of cases in a fast-paced environment ensuring company policies are adhered to
  • Work autonomously and pragmatically managing complex cases up to and including tribunal;
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to both Managers & colleagues
  • Work as an integral member of the HR Team
  • Produce high quality documentation including reports, letters, meeting notes etc.
  • Use CoreHR to record accurate and timely case updates for management information purposes
  • Project work (e.g. TUPE, redundancy) - supporting HRBPs with preparation of documentation, attendance at consultation and other colleague meetings

Requirements:

  • Proven employee relations experience and case handling
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst not compromising professional standards
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • A customer-focused mind-set
  • Ability to work with multiple sources of data and assimilate information quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Remain curious to challenge existing interpretation of employment policies to ensure continuous improvement
  • Proficient demonstration in the use of software applications
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • A passion for change and innovation
  • CIPD or HRM Degree
