Based within Leeds City Centre, this is a great opportunity to join a well-known, growing company. Due to their continued expansion and development, they are looking for a Credit Controller to support their credit function. This is a busy and varied role where no two days will be the same. You will work alongside an experienced and friendly team and will be given the opportunity to learn new skills and progress over time.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast paced, changeable business where you will be able to gain experience of the full credit process and will be supported by a very experienced and approachable Credit Manager. You will be rewarded with 33 days holiday, a salary of up to £28,000 depending on experience and access to a host of high street discounts. This role is easily commutable from all areas of Leeds and further afield. It is very accessible via public transport both via bus or train.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Chasing clients for payment of invoices via email and phone
  • Dealing with queries daily from clients around sales invoices and managing the daily inbox
  • Building up relationships with clients and customers and always providing excellent customer service
  • Matching and posting of customer payments
  • Production and distribution of sales ledger invoices
  • Daily bank payments and reconciliations
  • Assisting with the weekly aged debtor reports and supporting with detail and commentary
  • Dealing with and meeting with internal stakeholders to update on bad debt and to update on processes
  • Producing statements and sending them to clients
  • Supporting the general credit team in other areas during business periods such as month end

To be considered for this Credit Control role you will ideally:

  • Have previous experience of working within a credit control function in and end to end role
  • Have good attention to detail and accuracy and will be able to build relationships with clients
  • Have excellent communication skills, will be organised and able to work to strict monthly deadlines
  • Have some understanding of Excel and will enjoy working with software packages and systems and will pick them up quickly
  • Be happy working in Leeds City Centre on a hybrid basis
