Brand new vacancy for a Senior HR Data Analyst to join a leading UK insurance company.

Job Description

As a Senior HR Data Analyst you will play a pivotal role in analysing complex datasets to provide valuable insights that support business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, model data, and create compelling visualisations using Power BI among other tools. You will also be responsible for crafting compelling narratives and storytelling to effectively communicate your findings. Previous experience within HR and using Workday is preferable.

Key Responsibilities:* Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, with a focus on HR data.* Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.* Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous validation and testing.* Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.* Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices in data analysis, visualisation, and storytelling.

Required Competencies:* Proficiency in Power BI:* Prepare the Data: Clean, transform, and load data using Power Query.* Model the Data: Design and implement data models, create calculated columns and measures using DAX.* Visualise and Analyse the Data: Develop interactive reports and dashboards, use AI visuals, and apply advanced analytics techniques.* Manage and Secure Power BI: Configure data refresh, manage permissions, and ensure data security.* Strong analytical skills with excellent storytelling abilities and the capacity to write compelling narratives to interpret complex data sets.* Experience with API integration for data extraction from multiple HR cloud applications, including Workday.* Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:* Previous experience within HR and using Workday.* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.* Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification.
