Key Stage 2Teaching Assistant

NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a Primary school in West Leeds, close to Bradford, who are looking for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis.

Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning of learning activities by identifying and preparing resources required to support lesson plans and learning outcomes.
  • Assisting pupils' achievements by monitoring, supporting and having strong communication with class teacher.
  • Lead individual/small groups of children in teacher-led learning activities such as guiding reading and math's interventions.
  • Assist and support with SAT's preparation through interventions and mentoring.
  • Maintain upkeep of classroom resources and preparation of materials (e.g. books, pencils, art supplies, games, P.E activity set up etc.)
  • Support children with their independence and confidence both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Support the children with the preparation for entering secondary school.
