We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant EYFS team at a Primary School in Kirkstall, Leeds. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons to young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of EYFS lessons, ensuring the learning environment is engaging, nurturing, and inclusive.
  • Observe and assess children's learning and development, identifying next steps to help them progress.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
  • Foster positive, nurturing relationships with children, supporting their emotional and social development.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons and activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Ensure that all children are supported in a way that aligns with their learning styles and needs.
  • Support the class teacher in maintaining a positive and effective classroom environment.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working with children in an EYFS or primary school setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of child development and how to support children in their early years.
  • Flexible, supportive, and able to adapt to different needs and situations.
  • Nurturing and patient, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and staff.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
  • A DBS check will be required for this role.
