Randstad Education is assisting a thriving primary school in South Leeds in appointing a Teaching Assistant to work across the school. The School is dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for students.

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to KS1 and KS2 students
  • Support individual and group learning activities, ensuring each student can access the curriculum.
  • Help prepare lesson materials and classroom resources.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with additional needs.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist with the management of classroom behavior, following the school's behavior policy.
  • Support students during break times and lunchtime as needed.
  • Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification) is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of the primary curriculum.
