Teaching Assistant

Overview:Nextgen Teachers are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School team in supporting students in a Primary School in the Leeds area. The role involves providing assistance in the classroom and working closely with educators to enhance the learning experience for children.

Duties:- Support teachers in delivering tailored educational activities for students with special educational needs- Assist in implementing individual education plans and monitoring progress- Provide one-to-one mentoring and tutoring for students requiring additional support- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' education- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with autism spectrum disorder- Aid in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe and supportive setting for learning

Skills:- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs- Ability to educate and support students effectively in a classroom setting- Strong communication skills to liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals- Understanding of special education practices and strategies for working with diverse learning needs- Compassionate approach towards supporting students with autism spectrum disorder
