An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a vibrant school in Leeds. The successful candidate will be working within Key Stage 1 and will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning activities in the classroom.

This role is to start in January 2025 on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of learning materials.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of student's social and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with the assessment and tracking of student's progress.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role, particularly within KS1.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient and adaptable approach to working in a school environment.
