We're looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to work for our client at their Leeds production facility.

The role will suit an experienced electrician able to demonstrate a broad range of electrical engineering skills; design, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC control. You will be interested in technology and materials and willing to research new methods and solutions for solving engineering issues.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday day shifts. You will also be included in a call out rota out of hours. Salary up to £38,000 dependent on experience with a range of benefits included, to be discussed at interview.

The Role
As Electrical Engineer you would play a key role as part of a team of engineers responsible for maintaining and developing the plant and equipment using electrical disciplines. Work will include…
- Diagnosis of plant/equipment defects, develop solutions
- Assist with R & D projects to develop improved manufacturing plant and re-engineering.
- Hands on assembly of equipment
- Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across the site

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be apprentice trained in Electrical Engineering as a minimum, HNC level or equivalent, with relevant experience of fault-finding on a variety of complex equipment and able to demonstrate a broad range of electrical engineering skills and knowledge.

- Analytical with strong technical fault-finding ability
- Excellent prioritisation and project development skills
- A fast learner, resourceful with high attention to detail
- Thryristor control of transformers
- Experienced with refractory materials and high temperature environment
