A great opportunity has arisen for an electrical bias R&D support engineer to join a company who supplies bespoke products to a blue-chip customer base.
Job Description:
- Providing a technical support resource for our internal production departments and external engineer teams, and our ever-increasing customer base.
- Developing solutions for bespoke customer requirements and automation systems.
- Developing new and exciting products to bolster our already market leading range of high-speed industrial doors and associated equipment.
- Reviewing improvement ideas volunteered from all areas of the company, to assess the feasibility and impact of any potential changes.
- Reviewing, and improving our production and manufacturing processes.
Beneficial Skills / Benefits:
- Have experience with electrical systems, common areas for the role are DC motors, control systems, and sensors / instrumentation.
- Be confident in their own fault-finding logic & techniques, and once familiar with our equipment, be able to guide others through fault finding remotely.
- Have an appreciation of mechanical engineering despite the electrical bias of the role.
- Possess basic I.T. skills but training will be provided for drawing/analysis software.
- Possess a full driving licence (inc. manual transmission).
- Possess relevant electrical qualifications, but an enthusiastic, positive and “can do” attitude will be equally important.
- Be willing to work additional or vary hours to suit workload or project requirements (with prior agreement).
Role details / benefits:
- Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm & Friday 8:30am - 4pm.
- Starting salary is circa £27-30k per annum.
