Looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our small and friendly HR team

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for providing an operationally focused HR service by providing advice, support and managing employee relations cases.
  • Work with the HR Team to deliver the HR plan in line with the business strategy.
  • Be pro-active in resolving challenging situations whilst driving best fit and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, policies, and employment legislation.
  • To work closely with Key stakeholders across the business and advise them on current legislation, help identify risk and offer solutions.
  • Provide HR guidance, support and expertise to managers and employees in line with policy, practice and legislation.
  • Develop HR service desk system to ensure timely responses to HR calls and mailbox through to conclusion.
  • Continue to work closely with our Employment Law Partners
  • Ensure HR matters are handled promptly, fairly, and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
  • Act as facilitator with managers with Employee Relations Cases eg grievance, disciplinary, absence and capability investigations and hearings developing their capabilities and skills around people management.
  • Reduce the risk of Employment Tribunals by working closely with our indemnity insurers
  • Providing timely and accurate management information on all aspects of HR as required.
  • Assist with the development of key projects as identified by the business.
  • Comply with Data Protection and General Data Protections Regulations (GDPR) and ensure the security of employee information in accordance with legislation and best practice.
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current legislation and are communicated across the business.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Able to cope well under pressure.
  • Able to work to tight timeframes.
  • Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and able to work to competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Must has ER experience essential
  • Experience of TUPE/Consultations an advantage
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience

Candidate requirements:

  • Ability to motivate self and contribute to the development of an effective team.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in HR Systems, and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced, and pressurised environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
