Job Title: Systems Engineer Location: Warton OR Brough (Onsite requirement 2-3 days per week / This role is either Warton or Brough! Please ONLY apply if either location is commutable for you!)Salary: £47,683 - £ 52,426 dependant on skills and experience / Permanent Position

What you'll be doing:

  • Producing and issuing Flight Systems engineering data to meet project requirements in line with agreed standards and procedures, whilst maintaining quality, cost and schedule adherence
  • Liaising with other engineering and project areas in a collaborative environment to develop engineering solutions
  • Performing engineering tasks dependent on lifecycle phase which could include requirements development, system and equipment design and development, modeling and analysis, system integration, qualification and certification, and testing
  • Writing specifications, reports and proposals

Essential Skills:

  • Degree / HND or equivalent experience or qualifications in relevant STEM subject (Aeronautical / Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the System Engineering lifecycle with ability to apply good systems engineering practices to your work
  • Demonstrated experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably in an Aerospace application or in a similar engineering or technology focussed industry (Nuclear, Rail Automotive or Academia)

Desirable:

  • Electrical power generation and distribution, thermal management / environmental control systems, flying controls, hydraulics, landing gear, fuel, crew systems (life support / crew escape / aircrew protective equipment), propulsion integration or systems health management
  • Model-based systems engineering principles, tools and techniques
  • Vehicle control system design, and modeling and simulation of both classical and advanced control systems
  • Experience in designing, developing and supporting Flight Systems products in an engineering environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of system modeling and simulation toolsets
