Audit Manager

MERJE is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join a leading consumer lending institution. This role offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen and safeguard the organisation through independent, objective assurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, treasury, and prudential risk.

Location: Hybrid with a minimum 1 day a week in the office in North west/ Yorkshire

The Role

As Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering the audit plan, evaluating internal controls, and assessing risk management activities. This position offers competitive remuneration and the opportunity to contribute to the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities of the Audit Manager:

• Plan and execute audits, determining scope and objectives
• Evaluate internal controls and risk management activities
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and agree on findings with stakeholders
• Follow up on audit actions and test their implementation
• Manage stakeholder relationships and contribute to strategic team objectives

Required knowledge and experience for the Audit Manager role:

• Extensive knowledge of finance, treasury, and prudential risk
• Strong understanding of Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and IFRS 9
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., IIA, ACCA, ACA, CISA, AMCT)
• Experience in delivering end-to-end internal audits
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
