Development Finance Business Development Manager

Location: Northeast

Salary: Competitive, £75,000 to £100,000 plus bonus and benefits

A leading provider of development finance solutions, helping businesses and organisations achieve their growth potential. It specialises in delivering tailored financial products to support projects within real estate. Currently lending upwards of £400million, with loans up to £10million.

It is now looking to expand our team by hiring a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive our growth strategy and develop new business opportunities, within Development Finance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase market share and revenue within the development finance sector.
  • Identify new clients, build relationships, and network with potential partners to expand the company’s client base.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including credit, risk, and product development to create customised financial solutions for clients.
  • Prepare and deliver pitches, presentations, and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms, ensuring win-win outcomes for both the company and clients.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of new business initiatives and adjust strategies, as necessary.
  • Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations, development finance trends, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or relationship management within the development finance sector.
  • Strong understanding of development finance products and services, including debt and equity funding.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess opportunities and risks.
  • A results-oriented mindset and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
