Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for the exciting role of Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager based in the firm's office in Leeds.

We are looking for someone who is already working at Assistant Manager or Manager level, or someone who is eager to progress and has ambition to take that next step up in their career. If an Assistant Manager or Managerial level suits you best, we have the best opportunity for you!

What does this role entail? Here is a very brief snapshot:

  • Working with a portfolio of complex clients across a diverse range of businesses
  • Overseeing the compliance process
  • Reviewing and signing off tax returns and computations
  • Working with tax partners very closely on projects and adhoc requirements
  • Working with the wider team delivering answers to adhoc queries relating to tax matters
  • Train and coach junior staff
  • Being actively involved in firm wide opportunities and requirements
  • Delivery of CT compliance and advisory services

What are the essentials for this role?

  • CTA and/or ACA Qualified (ideal)
  • Experience working with both clients and a team to manage your own corporate tax portfolio
  • Experience of compliance and advisory work within corporate tax
  • Strong client handling and organisational skills
  • Experience with organising the delivery of tax work
