Due to continued growth, our client-an independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors with a team of over 50 professionals-is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their dynamic team. They provide audit, accounting, and tax services to a varied client portfolio, primarily consisting of owner-managed and family businesses across Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base, build long-term relationships, and provide a comprehensive range of tax services while delivering exceptional client service. The role will involve overseeing a team of six, with a hands-on approach to both compliance and advisory work.

Corporate Tax Manager Job Overview
  • Provide expert tax planning and compliance advice on employment tax matters and corporate tax issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all tax-related queries.
  • Identify and advise clients on tax planning opportunities and implications.
  • Review and oversee the preparation of corporate tax returns and computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with tax audits and investigations, liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Lead and mentor a team of six, providing guidance and support in both compliance and advisory work.
  • Stay up to date with evolving tax legislation to provide proactive advice.
  • Engage in business development, identifying opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
Corporate Tax Manager Job Requirements
  • ACA/CTA qualified desirable but happy with those qualified by experience
  • 3+ years experience in a similar position (top end of the bracket will require significantly more experience and qualifications)
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team.
Corporate Tax Manager Salary & Benefits
  • Circa £40,000- £55,000
  • Working hours: 38 hours a week
