Resourcery Group are currently recruiting in Leeds for a strategic Finance Director on behalf of a circa €1bn turnover, investment-backed Group.
This diverse and profitable Group has business interests spread across the UK and has grown rapidly via acquisition, as part of a wider ‘buy and build’ strategy. The Group consists of a wide range of businesses across several linked sectors. In the early years of growth, acquisitions remained independent, but now the decision has been made to consolidate disparate parts of the portfolio into a single, linked Group. From a Finance perspective, several distinct teams, systems and processes are being brought together, driving synergies through standardisation, simplification and rationalisation.
A strategically-capable, tactically-astute Finance Director is required to deliver this change across a major division of the Group. Working in partnership with another Divisional Finance Director, you will drive the business forward, standardising systems and ways of working, centralising Finance and driving cost savings. In this way, future acquisitions will be integrated quickly and efficiently following a standardised integration proves – people, systems, processes and controls.
The Finance Director will be responsible for the full P&L and Balance Sheet for several divisional businesses and Finance teams. You will also be required to appoint your own, equally capable Financial Controller, giving you autonomy over shaping the team beneath you. The role will require a hands-on Finance Director, capable of leading by example.
