Description
- Oversee and manage the financial operations within the company.
- Develop and implement financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Manage the company's budgeting process.
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and financial regulations.
- Work with auditors to ensure annual audits are carried out.
- Develop external relationships with banks, auditors, solicitors, creditors etc.
- Advise the board on strategic financial decisions and planning.
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting.
- Proven experience in a similar role preferably within the not-for-profit sector or education sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
