This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join a not-for-profit organisation in Leeds. The successful candidate will manage financial operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and compliance in the Accounting & Finance department.

Our client is a well-established not-for-profit entity managing multiple academies across the Leeds region. With a team of dedicated staff, they are committed to providing high-quality education for more than 4000 students.

Description

  • Oversee and manage the financial operations within the company.
  • Develop and implement financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Manage the company's budgeting process.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and financial regulations.
  • Work with auditors to ensure annual audits are carried out.
  • Develop external relationships with banks, auditors, solicitors, creditors etc.
  • Advise the board on strategic financial decisions and planning.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting.
  • Proven experience in a similar role preferably within the not-for-profit sector or education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
