Finance Manager

MERJE are delighted to be partnered with a Leeds based Financial Services organisation in their search for a talented Finance Manager

In this role your will capitalise on the talented team and quality systems already in place, driving efficiency across both.

You would provide regular coaching and support to further develop the team and ensure it's success, as well as driving a culture of continuous personal development. You will be a self-assured delegator and willing to share your knowledge and experience to ensure best practice is shared widely amongst the team.

Your new role:

• Promoting and maintaining a culture of ownership, empowerment and innovation within the team.
• Identifying, implementing, and monitoring additional controls as required to provide effective financial control.
• Continuous review of finance team processes to promote efficient ways of working.
• Overseeing month and year end accounts production, related analysis, and supporting calculations.
• Ensuring effective accounting controls are maintained and signed off.
• Working with external auditors during our annual audit cycle.
• Completing recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes for your team.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Educated to a A-level standard, including GCSEs in Maths and English.
• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ CIMA / ACA).
• Previous successful managerial/supervisory experience.
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office Applications (ideally to an Intermediate level).
• Able to train, motivate and evaluate colleagues successfully
• Good awareness of HMRC & FCA rules.
• Able to inspire by example and delegate tasks effectively.
• Commitment to highest standard of integrity
• Able to promote and maintain a positive team culture
• Experience within Financial Services or a Regulated Environment.

This role is Office based initially with hybrid working available upon completion of on-boarding.
