FINANCE MANAGERLocation: LEEDS Salary: £55,000 - £60,000Elevation Senior Finance are thrilled to be partnering with a fast-growing, forward-thinking business in Leeds, currently on an exciting trajectory of expansion! As they continue to scale, they are looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Finance Manager to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and performance.

In this high-impact role, you will take full ownership of preparing and delivering accurate, insightful, and timely monthly management accounts, with a sharp focus on operating expenditure. Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, you will be at the heart of financial reporting, variance analysis, and strategic decision-making—ensuring the business remains on track for its ambitious growth plans.

Beyond the numbers, you’ll be a proactive leader, mentoring and developing a talented team of two—a Management Accountant and an Assistant Management Accountant. Your expertise will drive efficiency, enhance financial accuracy, and refine reporting processes, making a tangible impact on the company’s success.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis, providing insightful commentary on financial performance.
  • Take full ownership of the profit & loss (P&L) statement, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with balance sheet reviews and reporting as required.

Business Partnering & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to key stakeholders, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, mentoring junior team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and cost control.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Continuously improve end-to-end accounting practices to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support systems implementation projects and enhance internal control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial regulations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the annual budget process, ensuring financial targets align with business strategy.
  • Provide forecasting insights to support long-term financial planning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in industry & commerce
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and present complex financial data
  • Experience with SAGE accounting software (preferred but not essential)
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor junior finance professionals
