Finance Manager (12 month FTC)

Based: Leeds (hybrid, flexible hours and 4pm Friday finish)

Salary: circa £45,500 + benefits including healthcare, flexible hours, free lunch/breakfast & more

Our client is a global leading, listed media & marketing business. Extremely well-known in their industry including some of the worlds most recognised brands, they employ over 10,000 staff across the globe.

Due to maternity leave, we are looking for someone to join the business on a 12 month FTC. This role will offer wide-ranging exposure in a fast paced business

Role:

  • Leading a team of 2 staff - both finance juniors, training through their studies
  • Work closely with the reporting & commercial finance teams daily
  • Working in a team of 10 overseeing the biggest revenue generating brand in the group, involved in all month end duties
  • Preparing management accounts including variance analysis
  • Accurate reporting of financial results to central finance & group
  • Working closely with Reporting Finance team to ensure consistency of financial reporting meeting tight deadlines
  • Overseeing revenue recognition in accordance with group policies, updating on SAP
  • Preparing and monitoring billing, resolving outstanding items and looking to improve cashflow
  • Collaborating with commercial finance to analyse variances to forecast, providing insights into financial performance
  • Identifying opportunities for process & system improvements, enhancing reporting

Experience:

  • QBE / Qualified / Part qualified considered
  • Experience leading junior staff & a good leader
  • Experience of month end requirements and reporting in a larger business (global / group / listed) - desirable
  • Able to work as part of a team and develop processes/systems
