I'm currently working with a leading organisation in the financial services sector, who are on the lookout for a talented Product Owner to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of their products, driving innovation and delivering exceptional value to both customers and internal stakeholders.

As a Product Owner, you will work closely with Delivery Stream stakeholders to create and manage product roadmaps, translating them into actionable backlogs. Your role will involve understanding the product's operating context, supporting the development of product roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with broader Delivery Stream Objectives and Key Results.

What you'll do:

  • Understand and articulate Delivery Stream Objectives, aligning them with strategic priorities.
  • Manage the product life-cycle stages, ensuring concepts are delivered effectively to our members and internal customers.
  • Triage new requests for change, assessing alignment with objectives, delivery size, options, and value.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external members, valuing customer validation through user testing.
  • Lead planning sessions, refinement sessions, demos, and retrospectives, creating and reviewing requirements.
  • Measure the success of initiatives, tracking Key Results against Stream Objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory rules and maintain high standards of conduct and risk management.

What you'll need:

  • Extensive experience as a Product Owner in Payments services.
  • In-depth knowledge of Payments Services, including Faster Payments, CHAPS, BACS Direct Debit, Cash, Cheque, and Card Payments.
  • Familiarity with PSD2 regulations and requirements.
  • Experience working with an Indirect Participant firm is a plus.
  • Versatility in working across multiple delivery methodologies, including Agile or SAFe environments.
