Credit Recoveries Manager | Leeds | Hybrid

Elevation Senior Finance are excited to be working with a market leading business in the centre of Leeds as they look to bring on board an experienced Credit Manager to join their established team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of overdue debt through the disconnections process and internal and external legal process while driving improvements in efficiency of the department processes and the development of processes, whilstminimising the cost to serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the internal Recoveries team, ensuring efficient collection of outstanding debts including management of the Warrant, DCA and Legal process and relationships
  • Identify and improve existing recovery strategies, ensuring alignment with business and industry standards and implement new procedures where deficiencies are identified to reduce cost to serve
  • Manage relationships with external recovery agencies
  • Liaise with the internal legal team and external solicitors’ in respect of claims and queries
  • Liaise and support internal stakeholders with queries and escalations where Recoveries input is required
  • Provide timely reports on recovery activities, debt and cash collections
  • Validation and sign off of Disconnection and External Legal Costs invoices in line with DLAs
  • Monthly 1-2-1’s with all Direct Reports, setting objectives and completing performance reviews
  • All tasks relating to Holidays, Sickness, Leave of Absence, Recruitment and Leavers
  • Implement and drive KPIs at team and individual level as well as monitoring performance
  • Drive the training and development of the recoveries team

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to operate at all stakeholders levels
  • Understanding of the customer lifecycle and interdependencies between Collections, Recoveries and interfacing departments
  • Experienced with people management
  • Proven ability to organise and produce accurate work to tight deadlines
  • Commercial approach to Recoveries
