Location: Leeds (hybrid) 

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Lawes Consulting Group are seeking a Senior Commercial Account Handler to join a leading Leeds based insurance broker. As a senior member of the broking team, you will play an important role in managing and maintaining key accounts, building strong client  relationships, and providing a consistently high level of technical support and advice. You will also act as a point of technical reference for less experienced colleagues. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working in conjunction with the incumbent Account Executives to ensure an excellent level of client service. 
  • Negotiate renewal terms, mid-term adjustments, and coverage extensions with both clients and insurers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and client-specific internal policies.

EXPERIENCE

  • Ideally have 5 years or more commercial broking experience
  • Possess a broad technical knowledge of commercial insurance products.
  • Cert CII qualified or above would be beneficial 
  • Familiarity with FCA Principles and Procedures

DAY-TO-DAY

  • You will engage in daily client interactions, negotiating renewal terms, and managing communications with insurers.
  • Responsible for preparing marketing presentations, renewal reports, and responding to client queries and requests for alterations

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A client-focused, consultative approach
  • Strong understanding of FCA Principles and Procedures
