Job Purpose
  • Managing a diverse client portfolio of c.200 corporate clients, ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
  • Preparation and delivery of quality and reliable tax advice
  • Overviewing personal tax affairs
  • Overseeing compliance function by attending pre year-end/completion meetings
  • Supporting business development strategies, attending prospective meetings and quoting for services
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Offering cross referral for corporate finance, financial planning and other advice as required
  • Overseeing junior team members, including workflow management, quality control, and providing training
  • Building trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Keeping up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team
  • Attending courses to further build on own taxation skillset

The Successful Applicant
  • ACA / CTA qualified, part qualified or studying
  • Qualified by experience within UK practice would also be considered
  • At least 3 years’ corporate tax experience
  • Technically efficient across taxation
  • Supervisory experience with good people management skills
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
  • Good commercial acumen
