Role Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of personal and trust tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals and more complex cases
  • Reviewing tax returns and compliance work prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Delivering proactive, cost-effective tax advice that aligns with client needs and regulatory requirements
  • Providing training, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior team members
  • Researching and preparing tax advisory reports on private client and employment tax matters
  • Collaborating with senior management and partners to drive process improvements and efficiency
  • Working alongside other teams to ensure seamless client service
  • Identifying opportunities for tax planning and additional advisory work

Candidate Requirements
  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience
  • At least four years’ post-qualification experience in personal tax
  • Strong technical knowledge in personal and trust tax compliance and advisory services
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with a client-first approach
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercially minded with an ability to identify and capitalise on tax planning opportunities
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, and leading junior team members
  • Exposure to tax advisory work (desirable but not essential)
  • Some experience with other tax areas is beneficial but not required
