Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Leeds
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm)
Salary: £42k
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and rapidly growing Food Manufacturing business based in Leeds. The company is currently experiencing impressive growth and, as a result, is looking to strengthen its engineering department by appointing a proactive and skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer. Key Responsibilities of a Multi Skilled Engineer:
- Conduct routine maintenance, fault finding, and repair of production machinery to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
- Perform both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting across a wide range of food manufacturing equipment.
- Support production teams in diagnosing and resolving machinery issues swiftly to ensure smooth operation.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team and the wider business.
Key Requirements of Multi Skilled Engineer:
- Qualified to a Level 3 NVQ or above in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a fast-paced FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical skills with good mechanical knowledge.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
