About the Role
An award-winning law firm in North Leeds is seeking a motivated and driven Solicitor, Fee Earner, or Paralegal with expertise in Claimant Clinical Negligence matters to join their growing Clinical Negligence department. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an expanding team, managing a wide variety of clinical negligence claims from inception to settlement.
As part of the team, you will play a key role in the continued growth of the department, handling complex and varied claims while providing excellent client care and legal advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims, handling both pre- and post-litigation matters from start to finish.
- Ensure compliance with CPR rules and the Pre-Action Protocol for the Resolution of Clinical Disputes.
- Negotiate settlements and provide strategic advice to clients throughout the claims process.
- Work to targets and KPIs, delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Potential to assist with the training and development of junior staff.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support the growth of the Clinical Negligence department.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:

Essential Knowledge & Experience
- At least 2 years of experience handling Claimant Clinical Negligence claims.
- Strong litigation experience, with a solid understanding of CPR rules and clinical dispute protocols.
- Proven ability to handle complex cases from inception to resolution.
- Excellent negotiation and client management skills.
- Experience working to performance targets and KPIs.
- Paralegals and Fee Earners are encouraged to apply.

Desirable Knowledge
- Familiarity with Proclaim case management software is preferable.
- Experience in mentoring or training junior team members.
- A proactive approach to working with marketing to promote the department.

Remuneration
- Competitive salary of up to 55,000, depending on experience.
Working Hours
- Hybrid working model, with flexibility for remote work.
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.
