About the Role:
Are you passionate about working with young children and supporting their development? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our friendly team in Horsforth, Leeds. Whether you hold a Level 2, Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Early Years, we want to hear from you!

As an Early Years Educator, you will have the opportunity to work with toddlers and preschool-aged children, supporting them through their early developmental milestones and helping them grow into confident, curious learners. You will be a key person for a group of children, helping to create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment where children can thrive.

We place a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and believe that children learn best when they are given the opportunity to explore the world around them. You will have a chance to lead exciting outdoor activities and support children's development through play-based learning in our beautifully designed outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities for toddlers and preschool children, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and supported.
  • Take on the role of a key person for a group of children, overseeing their development, tracking progress, and ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Foster a love of learning through play, ensuring that children are engaged and inspired in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Support children's social and emotional development by promoting positive behavior and encouraging independence.
  • Work closely with parents to keep them informed of their child's progress, achievements, and any areas of development.
  • Observe and assess children's development, contributing to developmental records and planning for the next steps in their learning.
  • Ensure the environment is welcoming, safe, and stimulating, following health and safety guidelines and promoting good hygiene practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a positive, supportive working environment and contribute to the development of the setting.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Level 2, Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
  • Previous experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children in an early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and a passion for working with young children.
  • A genuine commitment to providing the best start in life for children and fostering a love of learning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with children and parents.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment.
  • A proactive, flexible approach with a focus on creating a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
