Our client, a small private day nursery in Yeadon, Leeds, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Educator to join their team on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner with at least one year of experience in a nursery setting, specifically within a baby room. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-2 years, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development through age-appropriate activities and child-led learning.

This nursery boasts a large outdoor space, which is an integral part of their curriculum. If you are passionate about outdoor learning and nature-based play, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide stimulating and engaging activities that support the EYFS framework

  • Foster strong relationships with babies, parents, and colleagues

  • Promote holistic development, including physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth

  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment

  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress using effective planning and assessment strategies

  • Support transition periods and encourage secure attachments using key person responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement best practices in early years education

What We're Looking For:
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an early years setting, ideally within a baby room

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework and child development theories

  • A passion for outdoor learning and the ability to facilitate nature-based activities

  • Excellent communication skills and a caring, nurturing nature

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
