Role: Exams Assessor Location: West Yorkshire Type: Temporary - 30.5 hours per week Rate: £15 - £18 per hour Eden Brown are recruiting for an experience Exams Assessor for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire. This a part time temporary role for 30.5 hours per week to start in September with the potential to go permanent. Key responsibilities: 1. To undertake the administering of EAA assessments, compile assessment reports providing student feedback and recommendations for EAA in preparation of the JCQ Form 8 across all sites for all students 2. To participate in JCQ and Exam Access training updates annually and provide CPD to SEND, curriculum and exams staff on changes to EAA regulations 3. Ensure external (JCQ) and internal deadlines are adhered to Qualifications / Experience required: - An appropriate qualification to carry out assessment for exam access arrangements (a post-graduate course at or equivalent to Level 7, including at least 100 hours relating to individual specialist assessment or a current SpLD Assessment Practicing Certificate as awarded by Patoss, Dyslexia Action or BDA and listed on the SASC website) - Minimum 2 years' recent experience of undertaking EAA assessments and interpretation of results e.g. reading accuracy, reading speed, comprehension and spelling and writing the reports for submission to exams and work within deadlines - Experience of using appropriate assessment software and IT systems for accurate recording of assessments and outcomes. E.G. ProSuite, Microsoft - Good working knowledge and understanding of the needs of learners with SEND needs Candidates must also have a current DBS, if you do not have one Eden Brown can get one on your behalf If this could be of interest to you please contact Callum Boyle on or
