The role involves updating ledgers, processing private client bills, and handling payments and banking reconciliations.
Candidates should ideally have at least 1 year of experience in a Legal Cashier or Finance role.
Knowledge of Solicitors accounts rules is desirable, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

We are excited to share that we are working with a highly reputable growing law firm based in Leeds. They are looking for a legal cashier to join their expanding finance department and will report into the Head of Cashier. Key responsibilities:

Updating office, client and nominal account ledgers daily.
Processing data of private client, Legal Aid and Legal Help bills.
Allocating payments on account of legal aid fees and disbursements.
Debit & credit card payments and processing paperwork for same.
Banking including reconciliation in accordance with SRA accounts rules.
Cover for other members of the Cashiers team.

Required Experience/Skills

Ideally you will have 1+ years experience of Legal Cashier/Finance
Knowledge of the Solicitors accounts rules is desirable
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
