We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teacher to join our team at an alternate provision in Leeds.

Role Overview: As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with diverse and complex needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of SEMH pupils.
  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment where pupils feel valued and understood.
  • Implementing strategies to manage challenging behavior effectively.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEMH pupils and managing challenging behavior.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by SEMH pupils.
  • Team Teach training is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
