We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teacher to join our team at an alternate provision in Leeds.
Role Overview: As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with diverse and complex needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of SEMH pupils.
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment where pupils feel valued and understood.
- Implementing strategies to manage challenging behavior effectively.
- Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with SEMH pupils and managing challenging behavior.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by SEMH pupils.
- Team Teach training is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
