Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Service Scheduler to join their operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the smooth coordination of machine installations, breakdown responses, and planned servicing. As the Service Scheduler, you will manage the day-to-day scheduling of engineers, ensuring workloads are balanced and resources are available for machine installations and maintenance tasks. Acting as the main point of contact for both engineers and customers, you will ensure urgent breakdowns are addressed quickly while maintaining the schedule for planned servicing and new equipment installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the schedule for all engineers, including both reactive and proactive work on a daily basis
  • Ensure all jobs are thoroughly planned for engineers, including making sure they have the tools and parts required
  • Respond quickly to reactive requests and breakdowns, ensuring an engineer is on-site within 1 working day
  • Liaise with customers to confirm installation and service dates, and communicate any delays or changes promptly
  • Process engineer reports and close jobs on the system as required
  • Support engineers with logistical issues, such as job site access, additional support, or arranging travel and accommodation
  • Act as a primary point of contact for customers and engineers during installations, breakdowns, or service visits, resolving on-the-day issues as necessary

Requirements:

  • Previous emergency breakdown scheduling experience is essential
  • Ideally experience with scheduling software
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • IT literate
  • Ability to prioritise
