Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that inspire a love for Design and Technology
- Develop innovative teaching materials that cater to a diverse range of learners
- Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring all students reach their full potential
- Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey
- Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-curricular learning opportunities
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity and hands-on learning
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Have a proven track record of success in teaching DT at the secondary level
- Possess strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology, including areas such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, and Product Design
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be committed to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest teaching practices and technologies
