The Role

This is a full-time role to teach Physics to Key Stage 3 and some Key Stage 4 students, covering an absence on a phased return. The position will require a balance of delivering high-quality Physics lessons and undertaking occasional general cover duties. You will play a critical role in supporting student's progress and maintaining high standards in the classroom.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Proven experience in planning, delivering, and marking lessons.

Skills:

  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Proficiency in assessing and tracking student progress.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Creativity in lesson planning and delivery.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lesson plans.
  • Mark and assess student work in line with school policies.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Undertake general cover duties across other subjects when required.
  • Contribute to the development of the science curriculum.
  • Utilise various teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
