Job Description SummaryThe Master Data Management Analyst will be responsible for the daily creation, maintenance, and management of information in support of our client's Master Data Management and governance initiatives. This position will also serve as analytical support and subject-matter expert of Item master data related to the Oracle EBS suite.? This position will be an integral part of the Master Data Management initiatives that drive data as an asset through supporting the analysis, development, and implementation of focused improvements related to data attributes and intelligence, establishment of global standards and processes for data governance, and implementing measures to manage the quality of our data.What you'll be doing:

  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects involving optimisation of manufacturing capacities and capabilities
  • Drive standard practices in product configuration, packaging and the manufacturing process
  • Own the item configuration and creation process
  • Dedicated to all aspects of item creation and maintenance for assigned operations
  • Understands standard cost elements
  • Interfaces with E-Core to assign appropriate build-ups
  • Evaluates and determines optimum packaging to minimise cost to manufacture and deliver
  • Assigns manufacturing routings
  • Assigns standard cost components
  • Applies pricing and consults on pricing issues in partnership with the pricing group
  • Publishes to price list
  • Drives standard cost and standard processes
  • Works closely with the Customer Service and Commercial organisation, Process Engineers, the Pricing Centre of Excellence, the Costing Group, manufacturing counterparts, Application Development, data warehousing and the finance organisation.
  • Drives cost reduction through standardisation of products, packaging and manufacturing process
  • Determines and applies proper product routings
  • Translates customer requirements to product and manufacturing specifications
  • Understands standard cost elements
  • Recommends changes to existing products to improve productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Execute the analysis and decision relating to creation, maintenance, and management of data in legacy systems and EBS (Oracle)
  • Ensure legacy system(s) and Oracle system synchronisation
  • Responsible for maintaining and governing the integrity of the Master Data.? Verify all required documentation is available and ensure efficient end to end record completion
  • Train on and support adherence to data standards and naming conventions across shared data systems
  • Research, analyse, and consult as required to support data users across the organisation
  • Create and/or assist in the creation of and execution of MDM test scripts for Oracle BST integration testing.? Align with cross-track user groups (test scenarios, draft test cases and conduct user and business testing)
  • Support, test, recommend solutions for technology enhancements which enable efficiency and productivity gains around data management and maintenance
  • Recommend solutions and provide support for improved business processes around the shared administration of data
  • Implement process mapping, business case development, workflow definition, and requirements definition around data management
  • Execute governance and audit reviews around master data to ensure integrity and completion of data at operational levels.? Generate reports to validate data governance.?

What you will needFour-year degree in information / computer science, data management, business or related field

  • Experience in the manufacturing process is preferred; direct operations experience is a bonus.
  • Experience with the Oracle EBS system
  • Experience with the Oracle Agile system
  • Position might be responsible for supporting several divisions and business units, so cross-divisional experience is strongly beneficial and preferred.
  • Strong preference will be given to the candidate with cross-functional experience within the manufacturing environment-
  • Travel will be required - approximately 25% minimum, but can vary substantially.
  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes, raw materials and products
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and creating complex spreadsheets to analyse data
  • Oracle SQL - familiarity with SQL; ability to write queries and understand queries; ability to build queries from scratch, understand how a query is laid out and some syntax; ability to troubleshoot queries returning incorrect data or no data at all
  • Programming knowledge/languages
  • Good financial acumen, to include understanding the impact and interaction of cost components on the P&L
  • Ability to make tough or controversial decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
